Il mweaPurus (mweqRio Purus in mwegportoghese, mwewRío Purús in mwfaspagnolo) è un fiume dell'mwfqAmerica meridionale, che scorre per 3.211mwfg km verso nord-est per confluire infine nel mwfwRio delle Amazzoni. Ha un mwgabacino idrografico di 63.166mwgq km² e una portata media di 8.400mwgg m³/s.

Il Rio Purus nasce dal versante orientale delle mwhaAnde, in mwhqPerù, per poi attraversare il mwhgBrasile, toccando gli Stati dell'mwhwAcre e di mwiaAmazonas. Confluisce, infine, nel mwiqRio delle Amazzoni, ad ovest del mwigRio Madeira.

Il suo principale affluente è il mwjafiume Acre.
